We made it to Silver Star and it is obvious why so many people love this place! There is not very much snow, but it is still beautiful and the skiing is great.
Here is a picture from when my brother, Matthew was in West Yellowstone skiing with us.

Change of Plans
Posted: Monday, December 1st, 2008The next two SuperTour races (Bozeman and Solder Hollow) have been canceled due to warm temperatures and lack of snow. Since we are already on the road, we have decided to drive up to Silver Star Resort in British Columbia to get in some more races. A lot of teams have made this decision, so the competition should be very good. I am also looking forward to skiing at slightly lower elevations. Silver Star is still high, but well under 7000 feet which is the height of the Plateau we have been skiing on in West Yellowstone. After Silver Star, we will head over to Whistler for some more NorAm races. Both of these places should be beautiful.
Saturday’s skate race in West Yellowstone went a lot better for the CXC Elite team. Garrott Kuzzy was 3rd place overall for the men, and Caitlin Compton was 4th place overall for the women. I managed to get out on the course and take some pictures this time. Here are some of the good ones.
